Ms. Reena Arora is a Drug Discovery & Development professional having around thirteen years of experience in industry. She has overall experience & understanding of global drug discovery process for NCEs & NBEs, Proteomics and Biomarker discovery. She has expertise in preclinical invitro pharmacology assays, Proteomics & mass spec based techniques, cell based assays and other biochemical & biotechnological techniques.
She has been working as Group Leader & Senior Research Scientist at Saksin Lifesciences Pvt Ltd, Chennai, since August'2014. She was actively involved with setting up of research lab facility and involved with the assay development & bioanalytical requirements for novel Biologics.
Prior to this she worked as Senior Research Scientist, Biology at Sphaera Pharma Pvt. Ltd, Manesar, Gurgaon (2010-2014) where she was responsible for Invitro Pharmacology assays in NCEs for Preclinical Phase (Enzyme assays, Cell based assays, Plasma Stability, Cyp assays , Metabolic Stability Assays, ELISA, Western blots etc). She was actively involved in various oncology, metabolic disorders and other ongoing Drug Discovery projects.
She was associated with the Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry facility at The Centre for Genomic Applications (TCGA, Delhi) 2005-2010 and was among one the key members in setting up of Proteomics & Mass Spectrometry Facility at TCGA. She has expertise in protein separation using 2D gel electrophoresis/DIGE, protein sequencing & identification using Mass Spectrometry based platforms and was actively involved in various DBT & NIH projects at TCGA. Earlier, she was with the Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology (IGIB), Delhi in DBT Project (2000-2002) related to development of monoclonal antibody. She has several publications in peer reviewed International Journals. She has been awarded with CSIR - JRF - NET, ICMR - JRF and GATE examination. She has completed her B.Sc. (Hons) Microbiology from Delhi University and M.Sc (Hons) Microbiology from Punjab University, Chandigarh.

Bioanalytical Department is involved in assay development for novel Biologics. Assays being developed are being used for optimization of process & yield for novel biologics from Upstream & Downstream department, Affinity determination, Stability assays. Bioanalytical department is capable of developing assays for in-process related impurities & product related impurities.
Bioanalytical Department is equipped with instruments like Multimode plate reader, SDS Page, Western Blot, HPLC, Gel Doc system, Deep freezers, etc.
